Features

OptiPoint Optical Switches

SteelSeries OptiPoint switches use optical light sensors to register keystrokes without the debounce delay found in traditional mechanical switches. They provide an ultra-fast 0.2ms response time and consistent input for competitive gaming.

2-Point Adjustable Actuation

Users can switch between a fast 1.0mm actuation point for gaming and a deeper 1.5mm actuation point for more deliberate typing. Actuation settings can be configured through SteelSeries GG on a per-key basis.

Hot-Swappable Switches

The Apex 9 TKL supports hot-swappable SteelSeries OptiPoint switches, allowing users to replace or customise compatible switches without soldering. SteelSeries recommends recalibrating the keyboard after changing switches. :chatgpt-content-reference{index=”1″}

Tenkeyless Esports Layout

The compact TKL layout removes the numeric keypad while retaining the arrow and navigation keys, providing more space for wide mouse movements and a more flexible competitive gaming setup.

Double-Shot PBT Keycaps

Durable double-shot PBT keycaps resist fading and feature a textured finish for improved typing feel and long-term durability.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminium Construction

A Series 5000 aircraft-grade aluminium top plate provides structural rigidity and stability while maintaining a premium, compact design.

Dedicated Media Controls

A clickable volume roller and dedicated media button provide quick access to system volume and playback controls without interrupting gameplay. :chatgpt-content-reference{index=”2″}
