ACT 25m High Performance VGA Cable Male-Male w/ Metal Hoods

ACT 25m High Performance VGA Cable Male-Male w/ Metal Hoods | For long VGA runs

When VGA equipment needs to sit well apart, a short cable can force an awkward layout. This ACT cable provides a 25m run, with male connectors at both ends, for connecting two VGA connection points. Its name also specifies metal hoods and describes the cable as High Performance. Its suited to a setup where the distance between the connection points matters more than keeping the cable run short. That could mean routing it across a room or along a longer planned path; the key is that both ends need the appropriate VGA connection. A 25m cable gives you plenty of reach, but the route still deserves a little thought. Measure the path you actually intend to use, rather than just the straight-line distance between the equipment. Thats the practical difference between having enough cable and having a tidy run.

Planning the cable route

Before settling on positions for the equipment, trace where the cable will go and allow for the turns in that route. A run around furniture or along a wall can take more length than the gap between the two devices suggests. Think, too, about where each end needs to reach: this cable has male connectors at both ends, so its intended for connection to matching VGA points. If your setup already uses VGA at both ends and needs a long cable run, this is a straightforward option to consider. If youre still planning the layout, measuring first is a simple way to avoid leaving the cable stretched across a walking route or discovering that the equipment needs to move.
