ACT 20m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 8K w/ Detach

ACT 20m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 8K w/ Detach | Reach a distant display over 20 metres

When your display needs to sit well away from the device feeding it, a short cable can make the layout awkward. This ACT cable gives you a 20-metre DisplayPort connection, with DisplayPort 1.4 and 8K named in its title. Its an active optical cable, so the cable type is part of the products identity, not just a long length of ordinary cable. The title also specifies a detach feature. That makes this a cable to consider for a setup where the connection has to cover real distance and you want those key details stated plainly. It suits anyone arranging a DisplayPort link across a room or between separated work areas. The honest point is that a 20-metre cable is a substantial run; its most relevant when that reach is genuinely needed, rather than when a short connection will do.

For a long DisplayPort run

At 20 metres, this cable is aimed at a different job from a lead used to connect two devices sitting side by side. Think of a display placed across a room, or a screen positioned away from the source device so the space can be arranged around it. The stated DisplayPort 1.4 and 8K details make it easier to identify the connection standard and resolution named for this model when comparing options. Its active optical cable designation is another specific detail to look for in the product name. Theres no need to read more into that wording: the supplied product details establish the length, connection standard, cable type and 8K designation, without adding further performance claims. If your setup calls for a long DisplayPort cable, those are the defining details of this ACT model.
