ACT 50m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach

ACT 50m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach | A long-distance HDMI link for 4K setups

When a display or video setup has to sit far from its source, a short lead can dictate where everything goes. The ACT 50m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach is named for that longer connection: a 50-metre HDMI cable, marked High Speed and 4K, using active optical construction. Its aimed at installations where the route between HDMI points is the practical problem, rather than a need for a compact desk cable. The w/ Detach wording is part of the model name, too. This is a specific cable to consider when planning a long 4K HDMI run, whether its for a fixed room arrangement or equipment positioned apart. Its main reason to be here is the stated reach and HDMI format. Measure your route before deciding; the actual path often matters more than the straight-line distance.

Planning the cable route

Start by identifying where the two pieces of equipment will sit, then trace the route the cable would actually take. A run that goes around furniture, follows a wall or passes through a cabinet may need more length than a quick room measurement suggests. Leave some slack at each end so the cable can reach the connection points without being pulled tight. Its also worth considering how youll keep the route tidy and out of the way once everything is in position. These small checks are more useful than guessing from the distance between the devices. This cable is intended for a long connection, so planning the path first helps you judge whether that reach suits your installation. The product name includes w/ Detach; the wording alone doesnt explain which part detaches, so weve kept that detail to the name rather than making assumptions.
