TetherTools Leverlock & Cable Kit Optima 10G 31′ (9.2m) Straight To R

TetherTools Leverlock & Cable Kit Optima 10G 31′ (9.2m) Straight To R | A longer cable run for tethered work

Without a dedicated cable, a tether setup can end up depending on whatever cable is already nearby. This TetherTools Leverlock & Cable Kit gives you a named cable option with a 31-foot (9.2-metre) length and a Straight To R designation. Its aimed at photographers who need a longer cable run for their tethered setup and already know that this is the connection type they need. The title also identifies it as an Optima 10G kit; those details make it easier to distinguish from other cable options when youre planning a setup or replacing a cable. The useful part here is the stated reach: 9.2 metres gives you more cable to route between your camera position and the other end of your tether. That can make a difference when your working positions arent close together. One honest point: a longer cable still needs a sensible route, so consider where it will run before setting up.

Planning your cable run

Think about the route the cable will take, not just the distance between two points. A run may need to pass around a stand or along the edge of a work area, and those turns use up some of the available length. The stated 9.2 metres gives you a clear figure to work with when laying out your setup. Its also worth matching the Straight To R wording in the product name to the connection youre planning to use; dont assume that a similar-looking cable description means the same thing for your particular arrangement. Keeping the cable path in mind can help you decide whether this length suits the space you work in, rather than choosing on reach alone.

For a shop-floor conversation, the details to start with are simple: the Optima 10G name, the 31-foot (9.2-metre) length and the Straight To R designation. Those are the identifiers provided for this kit. If they match the cable youve planned for your tethered workflow, the length gives you a concrete basis for arranging the setup. Theres no need to read more into the product name than it says.
