TetherTools TetherGuard Leverlock & Cable Kit USB-C To USB-C 15′ (4.6m

TetherTools TetherGuard Leverlock & Cable Kit USB-C To USB-C 15′ (4.6m) | Extra reach for a tethered setup

The defining decision here is the 15-foot (4.6m) USB-C-to-USB-C cable: it gives a tethered setup room to place connected equipment apart, rather than keeping everything close together. TetherTools names this a TetherGuard Leverlock & Cable Kit, for photographers who need a cable for a tethered workflow. Both ends are USB-C, so its suited to a setup where the connection points use that connector. That length makes sense when your working position and connected equipment arent side by side; in a compact layout, it may leave extra cable to route. Thats the practical trade-off. You get more reach, but the cable path still needs to work for your space. The useful detail is that the length is given in both feet and metres, so you can compare it with a planned run without converting units.

Planning your tether run

Measure the route the cable will actually take, not just the direct gap between the connection points. A cable routed around a desk or support will need more length than one running straight across open space. Also consider where the two connected devices will sit while youre working: the available reach affects how freely you can arrange them. The USB-C connection at each end is the key detail when matching this kit to a setup. If both connection points use USB-C, the connector format is aligned; the cables stated length then helps you judge the layout. In a tight workspace, take a moment to picture where any spare length can sit so it doesnt get in the way. This is a straightforward way to assess whether the kits reach suits your tethered arrangement.
