ACT 40m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach

ACT 40m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach | A long HDMI run in one cable

Where a short HDMI lead can bridge a camera and a nearby screen, a longer route calls for a cable with more length to work with. This ACT cable is 40m long and is identified as a High Speed 4K active optical HDMI cable. It suits a video setup where the HDMI connection needs to run between equipment thats some distance apart, rather than sit in a neat little coil on the desk. The 4K and High Speed wording makes it relevant to setups built around those signal labels; the active optical description is part of the cable type, too. The product name also includes w/ Detach, which distinguishes this version. The main practical point is the 40m length: it gives you room to plan a longer cable route. For a short connection beside a camera, thats simply more cable than the job calls for.

Think about the route the cable needs to take through your setup, not just the distance between the two connection points. A cable may need to follow a wall, pass around furniture or reach a display elsewhere in the room; the 40m length is the defining detail here. The HDMI format tells you the connection type, while High Speed, 4K and active optical identify the cable as named. Those terms make this a specific long-format HDMI cable, rather than a generic lead with no stated length or type. If your setup calls for a long HDMI run, this is the ACT model to consider; if the connection is right beside the equipment, a shorter cable will be easier to manage.
