ACT 20m High Performance VGA Cable Male-Male Black

ACT 20m High Performance VGA Cable Male-Male Black | Connect across a long distance

Without a cable that reaches, you may have to move your equipment closer together or settle for a screen position that doesnt suit the room. This ACT cable gives you a 20m VGA connection with male connectors at both ends, for connecting equipment with matching VGA sockets. Its aimed at anyone arranging a VGA setup where the source and screen need to sit apart, rather than side by side. The black cable is identified as High Performance in its product name. Its clearest practical benefit is the length: you can plan a longer route between the two connection points without joining shorter leads. One honest consideration: a long cable can leave spare length if your setup is close together, so think about where that extra cable will go before you install it.

Planning your cable route

Measure the path the cable will actually take, not just the distance between the two devices. A route that follows a wall, passes around furniture or avoids a walkway can use more length than a direct line across the room. Decide where the cable will start and finish, then account for the turns and the positions of the VGA sockets. This helps you judge whether a long lead suits your layout and where any slack can be kept out of the way. The male-to-male arrangement is straightforward to identify when youre planning the connection: both ends have male VGA connectors. If youre tidying a fixed setup, work out the route first, then place the cable so it doesnt create an awkward crossing through the space.
