ACT DVI-D Single Link Cable Male – Male High Quality 10.00m

ACT DVI-D Single Link Cable Male – Male High Quality 10.00m | A longer DVI-D connection

What sets this ACT cable apart is its 10.00-metre length: it gives you more room to place two pieces of equipment with DVI-D connections apart. Its a male-to-male, single-link DVI-D cable, suited to a setup where both ends have the matching connection. That makes it relevant when a shorter cable wont reach comfortably, for example across a room or around a fixed desk arrangement. The title describes it as high quality, though the practical detail to focus on here is the length and connector type. Before choosing a route, measure the full path between the two connection points, not just the straight-line distance. A cable run that has to go around furniture or along a wall can use more length than you first expect. At 10 metres, this is a cable for a deliberate longer run rather than a small gap between neighbouring devices.

Planning the cable run

Think about where the cable will travel and where you want each device to sit. A longer run can give you more freedom with placement, but its still worth planning the route before connecting everything. Allow for the cable to follow the path you have in mind, including any turns around furniture, and leave enough room at each end to reach the DVI-D connection without pulling the cable taut. The male-to-male ends are intended to meet matching DVI-D connections; this isnt a cable with a different connector at each end. Its single-link DVI-D designation is part of the connection type, so make sure that matches the ports in your setup. One honest point: a 10-metre cable can be more length than a nearby connection needs. Its value is the extra reach when your equipment cant sit close together.
