ACT 30m High Performance VGA Extension Cable Male-Female

ACT 30m High Performance VGA Extension Cable | Extend a VGA run

Most VGA setups keep the source and display close; this cable is for when the connection needs to travel farther. The ACT 30m High Performance VGA Extension Cable gives you an extension with a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other. It suits a room layout where the equipment cant sit side by side, or where the existing cable needs extra reach to follow a longer route. Its job is straightforward: extend a VGA connection, not change the way your setup is arranged. If youre planning a run across a room, think about where the cable will go before connecting it. A little planning helps you avoid finding out that the route around furniture or along a wall needs more length than the direct distance suggests.

Planning the cable route

Measure the path the cable will actually follow, including the turns needed to reach the connection points. The shortest line between two devices may not match the route you want to use, particularly if the cable needs to go around a desk or along the edge of a room. Leave enough slack at each end to make the connections without pulling the cable tight. That makes positioning the equipment easier and avoids having the cable dictate where everything has to sit.

This is a specific answer to a longer VGA run, rather than a general-purpose cable for different connection types. Check that the places you want to join have the matching VGA connections for this male-female arrangement. Once youve mapped the route and connection points, youll know whether 30 metres suits the layout. Its a practical detail to settle before you start moving equipment around.
