ACT 40m HDMI Premium 4K Hybrid Cable HDMI-A Male – HDMI-A

ACT 40m HDMI Premium 4K Hybrid Cable HDMI-A Male – HDMI-A | Long-reach HDMI connection

At 40 metres, this ACT cable is for HDMI connections where the source and display need to be well apart. Its suited to home users, studios and presentation spaces where equipment placement calls for a long cable run. The product is described as a Premium 4K Hybrid HDMI cable, with an HDMI-A male connector at one end and an HDMI-A connector at the other. That gives you the connector format to look for when planning the connection. The 4K wording is part of the product name; the practical reason to consider this cable is its length. Its a specialist option for a layout that needs that reach, rather than a short link between nearby devices. One honest bit of planning advice: measure the route the cable will actually follow, not just the gap between the two pieces of equipment.

Planning a long cable run

Before settling on a route, trace it from one end of the setup to the other. A cable routed around furniture or along a wall will travel farther than the straight-line distance between the equipment, and corners can change the path too. This makes it easier to judge whether the cables stated length suits your layout before you start placing equipment or routing the cable. Think about where each end needs to arrive and how the cable will follow the rooms layout. That simple check is especially helpful when a display and its source arent in the same part of the room. This cable is built around a specific use case: a long HDMI connection with HDMI-A connectors. If that matches your setup, its 40m length is the key detail to weigh up.
