ACT 90m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male

ACT 90m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male | A long DisplayPort run

The ACT 90m DisplayPort Hybrid Fiber/Copper Cable DP Male is a 90-metre cable for DisplayPort setups that need a long route between devices. Its aimed at people planning a fixed or carefully routed connection, rather than a short cable run beside a desk. Its title identifies both the hybrid fiber-and-copper construction and a DP male connector, so you can assess those details against the connection youre building. The length is the defining point here: it gives you room to route a DisplayPort cable across a larger space. Before settling on a route, measure the path the cable will actually take, including around furniture or along walls. A straight-line estimate can leave you short. This is a specialist cable choice; the useful question is whether its 90-metre length and DP male connection suit your setup.

Planning the cable run

For a long DisplayPort connection, it helps to map the cable path before installation. Measure from the intended starting point to the destination, following the route you plan to use rather than measuring across the room. That gives you a clearer sense of whether 90 metres is appropriate for the layout, and helps avoid ordering a length based on a rough guess. Keep the cable route in mind when positioning the connected equipment, too.

The hybrid fiber/copper description is part of this cables identity, alongside its DisplayPort format. If those are the details youre looking for, this model is easy to distinguish from a cable described only by its connector type. The product title also specifies a DP male connector. Match that connection to the port required at your intended connection point, and consider the planned route before you commit to the installation. One practical note: with a long run, measuring carefully is more helpful than relying on the rooms overall dimensions.
