ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male – Male High Quality 10.00m

ACT DVI-D Dual Link Cable Male – Male High Quality 10.00m | A direct DVI-D connection over 10 metres

Without the right cable, a DVI-D setup cant bridge the space between its two connection points. This ACT cable has male connectors at both ends and is 10 metres long, making it suited to a connection where the equipment uses DVI-D and a shorter run wont reach. Its stated format is Dual Link, so thats the detail to match when choosing a cable for your setup. The practical appeal here is simple: you get one cable for a longer connection, rather than having to position the connected equipment close together. Its a specific-purpose item, not a general cable for every display connection. Before buying, make sure the sockets at both ends of your setup match the cables DVI-D male connectors. If they do, the 10-metre length gives you room to plan a more spread-out layout.

Plan the cable route

For a 10-metre cable, its worth thinking about the route before you connect anything. Measure the path the cable will actually take, rather than only the straight-line gap between the two pieces of equipment. A run that goes around furniture or along a wall can use more length than you expect. Thats particularly useful to bear in mind when the connection points are in different parts of a room, or when you want to keep them where they are instead of moving them closer together.

Also check the connector format at both ends of the intended connection. This cable is male-to-male and DVI-D Dual Link; those are the details that determine whether its the right physical match for your setup. The title calls it high quality, but gives no further construction details to compare. So Id choose it on the clear practical reasons stated here: the DVI-D Dual Link format, male connectors at each end, and a 10-metre length. No guesswork about extra features needed.
