ACT 10m HDMI Standard Speed Low Loss Cable HDMI-A Male-Male

ACT 10m HDMI Standard Speed Low Loss Cable HDMI-A Male-Male | Connect HDMI-A devices across a longer run

When the HDMI connection needs to cover more distance, a short cable can dictate where your equipment has to sit. This ACT cable gives you a 10-metre run, with an HDMI-A male connector at each end. Its suited to setups where the connected equipment needs to be placed farther apart, and where both connection points use HDMI-A. The cable is described as standard speed and low loss, so those are the terms to bear in mind when choosing it for your setup. Its clearest practical advantage is the length: you can route a longer connection instead of arranging everything close together just to make a shorter lead reach. One honest point: 10 metres is a substantial cable run, so its worth thinking about the route before you connect everything.

Planning the cable run

Consider where the cable will travel and where you want the connected equipment to end up. A longer run can give you more freedom over placement, but it also means allowing enough length for the route rather than measuring only the straight-line distance between the two ends. The male-to-male HDMI-A arrangement tells you what the cable ends are; the devices at either end need corresponding HDMI-A connection points. Keep the planned path in mind when deciding whether 10 metres suits your space. This is a straightforward cable for a specific job: making a longer HDMI-A connection between two points. Theres no need to choose it for the length alone if a shorter route already works for your setup.
